Rewires in Swadlincote

Warning signs include lights that flicker or dim, breakers that trip repeatedly, sockets or switches that feel warm or look scorched, and a faint burning smell near fittings. Any of these suggest wiring that’s struggling and shouldn’t be ignored. If you’ve noticed this at home in Swadlincote, have it checked before it worsens.

Recent changes put more weight on the individual competence of the electrician doing the work, not just the firm they belong to, alongside the ongoing drive to bring older installations up to current standards. As a NICEIC-approved, Part P-certified team, our work is carried out and certified to current standards.

It depends on the size and age of the property and whether it’s occupied, but a typical home takes several days to a week or so. Older buildings with awkward access can take longer. We’ll give you a realistic timescale after seeing the property and explain how the work will be staged.

Not always. Many people stay put while we work room by room, keeping essential power on where we can. For larger or empty properties, it’s often quicker with the house vacant. We’ll talk through what suits you and keep disruption to a minimum throughout the job.

On completion, you should receive an Electrical Installation Certificate confirming the new wiring meets current standards, along with notification of the work under Part P of the building regulations. Keep these safe, as they’re useful when selling, letting or insuring your home. We provide the correct certification for every rewire.
